Some of ya'll have known me for a while, Dice had the \"honor\" of being my first trainer when we were stationed at Moody and I was a young punk 18 year old airman. Anyways, I got out in 98 and have been civil service since 99, currently a GS-12 Quality Assurance Spec at Robins in the 402 MXW.

So what did I get accepted into...they have a program here (may be AF wide, not sure, know it's AFMC wide) that if you get accepted into you go to school full time (for up to one year) don't work, and get your 80 hour paycheck still. From what I'm told the compatition is tough with only a few end up getting selected. I'm not sure on the actual of number of submissions and those accepted but I found out today that I got accepted. I've got 28 work days and a wake up left before I'm off for 9 months to concentrate on finishing my degree.

I miss working the hog, sometimes even miss being on active duty, but at 30 (will be 31 in July) years old I'm already a GS-12 and now getting into this program will only help my career.

I've come a long way from the A1C some of ya'll knew 12 years ago....

That's a great deal dude. I know a few people that got into that program and they got a 13 soon after graduating. Study hard and keep the GPA up.

Thanks Dice...sometimes I miss turning the wrench, but on a real flightline, not the depot flightline...there are days I would rather be working 12 hours troubleshooting something on an A-10 then 8 hours at my desk!
