.... you can only have one. So friday 6MAR09(two weeks ago) I wake up about 0030 with this need... I have to puke and right then, I make my way to the bathroom overturning or destroying anything that happens to be in the way and puke with a velocity similar to a firehose. Having finished my chore I notice \"damn my entire abdomen hurts\", and chalk this up to having pulled something in my haste to remove the Hamburger and Onion Pizza from the night before. I then begin a regular every 20 minute schedule of getting up and puking for the next 6 hours.... at somepoint I called into work saying \"Sorry I feel like a weed wacker is running loose on my intestines and I haven't slept, so I won't be in today.\" I get through the morning, feeling like hell, but the pain its moved to my lower abdomen, so I must be getting better. About 1130 I get a phone call, one of the soldiers in the HHC is threatening to commit suicide... I'm the HHC 1SG... yay the fun really begins.... about 2 hours later that issue is finnally resolved, my strength is now pretty thouroughly broken, and I'm having periodic cold spells and uncontrollable shakes, and I think \"Damn this is the worst case of Food poisoning I've ever had.\" Sat morning the pain is now focused only on my lower right abdomen, and I recall from somewhere in my mind that that also happens to be the location of my appendix... its been said I won't go to the hospital for anything other than the sudden and mysterious loss of a limb, thats rediculous, I'll go when my pain threshold is surpassed too.... I go to the emergency room. The first hit of morphine did nothing to really affect the pain, but the second yeah it was nice. 4 Hours after entering the doors to the hospital I'm in surgery getting my appendix removed. After the surgery the Doc says \"It [the appendix] was going to get much bigger.\" Now if most of you weren't convinced about my stubborness to this point let me say one more thing, my Surgery was SAT afternoon, I was released from the Hospital SUN morning, I went to work MON morning, if only for half a day. It was a joyous weekend..... |

Oh wow, tough weekend. Hopefully now you can rest a bit and heal up. Don't push yourself at work your body needs the time to recuperate. Drink lots of fluids/Gatorade to flush the toxins out that release when the appendix has issues. Hope you feel better. |
