In mine eyes is he a hero, when you can land on water without big problems for passengers and crew. Hope you will enjoy his free time now.
Question, what did he flew by the Airforce? He started his career, but i can't find which plane(s).

I wish Sully the best in his well earned retirement. I was listening to the FLL ATC feed on his last day and heard the controllers and pilots give him a nice send off, then I heard the preparations for and the final landing at CLT later on. It was really cool to hear for sure, but not as cool as the A-10 sim :D.
