So it looks like we are getting hit with another \"lovely\" snowstorm this weekend (and i'm stuck working all day tomorrow and saturday morning) sigh....

So who else is going to get hit with snow?

I was up in Torrington WY over the new years, we were dead in the center of the Blizzard Warning zone. About 8 to 10 inches and major drifting. Thank God for 4WD. Had a 3 foot drift in front of the garage doors I had to shovel through.

I'm heading back up there this weekend and once again, we're looking at another snow storm hitting Sunday, just about the time I'm heading back home.

Stay warm and well,

We are due snow on Saturday but damn am I looking forward to it. We have an inversion in the valleys right now, that's where the cold air is trapped in the valleys so nothing can get out, which means major smog. The air sucks and the storm will clear it out...bring it on. BTW the storm will also RAISE the temps out of the 20s into the high 30s...a warm-up for us.

In Indiana we usually have about 5-6\" on the ground this time of the year that lasts all winter. Christmas week AZ/NM had ice and sub zero temps and I was outside in a sweatshirt in 61F temps here. Currently very cold (single digit wind chills) and maybe half an inch of new snow over the last two days where we had NO snow before that.

Sorry to hear that Dutchy. You've got to watch your speed on slick roads. Hope the ankle heals well and fast and that you're back on your feet soon.

It was a surprise for me that that part of road was totally iced. I can tell you that i was number 5 of crashes all ready in that area. I heard later that i was one of 15 carcrashes in that province that evening.
The policeman and the personal of the ambulance (red cross) looked to me and were complete surprised that i only had a sore ankle. After two days after the crash i heard from the dokter control, i went to him because the ankle still hurts than, that is was broken.

Woke up this morning to about 3 inches of snow on the ground. As the day went on it turned to freezing rain. This is snow twice in less than a month in an area that normally gets no snow. Global Warming my big ole hairy butt!

Post subject:  snow in Louisiana

believe it or not we have about 4 inches of the white stuff on the ground and the temp hasn't been above 30 here in lovely Shreveport, Louisiana for the last 4 days.....it's funny how 4 inches shut down virtually the whole city today, hell they even postponed the local AA pro team's hockey game tonight.....lol, but hey it's all in the name of safety I guess
