A one/two combo punch of the ice storm of '06 and the blizzard of '82.

Goose- looks like you'll get all snow, except for a brief icing Tues a.m.

\"URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST LOUIS MO
451 AM CST MON JAN 31 2011

...DANGEROUS WINTER STORM SET TO BEGIN...

.A LIGHT WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION...MOSTLY IN THE FORM OF
FREEZING RAIN...WILL DEVELOP THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE IN WAVES
THROUGH LATE TONIGHT. THE PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN TO TRANSITION
TO SLEET AND SNOW ACROSS NORTHEAST MISSOURI AND WEST CENTRAL
ILLINOIS BY THIS AFTERNOON...AND THEN THIS CHANGE WILL EXPAND
SOUTHEAST THROUGH MUCH OF THE REST OF THE BI-STATE REGION LATER
TONIGHT AND TUESDAY AS COLDER AIR SETTLES IN.

THE GREATEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY OCCUR ACROSS CENTRAL
AND NORTHEAST MISSOURI AND WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS...WHERE AMOUNTS
BETWEEN 12 AND 18 INCHES WILL BE LIKELY. ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE
HALF INCH TO ONE INCH ARE LIKELY FOR AREAS SOUTH AND EAST OF SAINT
LOUIS...IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS.

THE SNOW WILL END DURING WEDNESDAY MORNING BUT WINDS WILL
INCREASE BEGINNING TUESDAY AND CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT AND
WEDNESDAY AS THE STORM SYSTEM DEEPENS. BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW
AS WELL AS AN INCREASED RISK OF DAMAGE AND POWER OUTAGES DUE TO
THE ICE ACCUMULATION WILL LAST INTO WEDNESDAY.

WINDS...WINDS WILL BECOME NORTHWEST AND INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH
WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE THROUGH
WEDNESDAY.

IMPACTS...SIGNIFICANT ICE ACCUMULATION AND GUSTY NORTHWEST
WINDS MAY LEAD TO WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGES. THE COMBINATION OF
ICE...SLEET AND SNOW WILL MAKE ROAD CONDITIONS EXTREMELY
DANGEROUS AND THIS COULD LIMIT TRAVEL FOR DAYS.\"

And the temps go down to 0 for wed/Thurs nights with wind chills in the -20s. Could be rough for those that loose power.
