Today, February 28, is it 20 years ago was the end of Desert Storm. First day, January 17, was mine brothers birthday. The last day was the birthday of mine neighbourboy. Mine birthday was 15 February. On this day lost an A-10 pilot his life for freedom. In those days, no internet, i bought every newspaper and magazine. Cut the articles out and put it with glu in a map. I have it still today that map. For all those losses ![[salute]](./images/smilies/smiley_salute.gif "Salute")
ps. this war was the reason that the A-10 still flies. |

I was there from aug til end and came home april , left a lasting memory in my mind . I worked the A-10 , at king fahad and at the FOL during the war. I was up at the FOL when A-10 pilot was shot down , I was there with the 76th AMU that owned the tail that didn't come home with us . The pilot was POW for awhile but he did come home . So happy ann to all hogdrivers and crewdog that served over there.  . and for all crewdog from then til now way to go crewdogs my hat is off to all!
