So i know that we are all over the map here, but i just wanted to check on everyone that is lining the east coast that got the \"lovely\" hurricane that i got.

I have to tell you, what a lousy birthday weekend....all the plans gets canceled, restaurant is closed. I want a \"do over\" this weekend lol

I'm all safe, lost power for awhile and took another day for the phone/cable/internet to come back after the power was restored. Moms house got water in the basement so the clean up efforts start.

Just hope that everyone is nice and safe.

Here in St Louis we got a 5 min sprinkle. but my brother in Fairfax VA had his neighbor's poplar tree drop into his back yar for a visit. And my sister on Long Island will be without power for 1-2 weeks. That count?

Great to hear you came through it all well. Most of my family, and wife's family, were in the path. No losses or even injuries.

I saw video of the flooding on the news.... Just like the damn yankees to be hoarding all the water.

It goes to show you that there is just not enough drainage in the streets of these areas.

I've been in the NE since the 26th. Drove up to Albany, NY two days ago and made a trip out to survey some buildings for recovery centers yesterday. There most definitely was a hurricane/storm.

That's Prattsville, NY. Well, it WAS Prattsville.[/img]

What a damage made Irene (correct me if i got the wrong hurricane name).
Good luck everybody that lives in the hurricane zone. Take care of yourself and eachother.

I think i saw a leaf blow down my street. Or maybe it was two.

Seriously totally overblown news coverage compared to the actual effect of the storm in this area.
