I took some pretty cool pix of the F-111 that was out on the ramp at Hill AFB when i was there with Horrido some years ago, at the invitation of Joe and Mark. Very cool aircraft. |

Back in the late 80's while I was at George AFB CA working F-4s we had an OV-10 squadron (27TASS) along with our 5 squadrons of Phantoms. They'd taxi by while we were at the trim pad and I remember one Bronco back seater showing us a centerfold as they taxied by. ![]() |

I was fascinated about the cockpit being one big ejector capsule. I think one had to make a forced landing at Bentwaters don't remember why though, just remember my dad being late because of that. |

I grew up around F-111s....Plattsburg AFB, RAF Upper Hayford, RAF Lakenheath...always loved that bird....can remember a couple doing down at Plattsburg, they brought in the capsule for an airshow, nice big hole in the floor where a tree came through. |
