This thread is to gauge interest of adding the capability to add pictures (and any other files) directly on the forum, instead of loading them to photobucket and linking here. Benefits would be: it's easier (done in the same window as your normal post) and its permanent (no worries about image links going bad if the poster ever edits anything on the photobucket side) If there's not enough interest, no problem, the forum stays free, as it is, and the only method to post files is link them via photobucket. Cost: $60 per year. For the entire forum, not per user or any silly shit like that. Not a lot of money, and if enough people are willing to chip in with me, I'll make it happen. PM me (or reply to this thread) if you are willing to pledge a few bucks. If enough interest is there to cover the cost, I'll get it and ask for the pledges to be filled. Filling the pledge after I front the money would be on your integrity of course, and this is not profit. 100% of donations will go to the forum. I'll start off. I'll throw down $10. Can this forum raise $50 to host pictures for a year? I will leave this thread as an announcement until the end of January (or if the goal is reached first, then) |
