Holy ^&$#*$! I guess I've had my head burried a little more than I realized lately. I knew France (as usual) and Germany were being piss-ants and the UN was getting wobbly, but... Wow. So, now we're considering economic sanctions against the two, and moving our troops out of Germany. This is starting to contradict what my military studies teacher said about no two democratic nations have ever been at war on opposite sides. I hope this is just sabre rattling on their part, or they're looking for an excuse to throw on an easy tax for extra revenue.

We talked about the idea of the US moving all troops out of the EU countries, and most of us here in Germany are cool with that....so long as teh move us further east, like Slovokia and Poland. I wouldn't mind a 2 year tour in the Bradaslava area, from what I hear.

Does anyone really think the French and Germans can work together on anything? Successfully??

Lithuania's Capital wasn't all that bad ten years ago, and it's probably improved since then. As a plus, thier not trying to flush thier new induction into NATO.
