I was walking through Wal-Mart today when a man in one of those motorized shopping carts nearly ran over my foot. Since I was wearing sandals I thought to myself that if he had it would have been very painful and I may have even required medical attention. Then a second thought occured to me, what if I ever did need medical attention and was carrying concealed, as I almost always do? What would happen to my weapon? Who could take possesion of it if I were incapacitated or needed to be transported? Anybody else thought of this question and if so what answers did you come up with?

If the paramedics find a weapon on you they will almost certainly call the cops. What happens to it from there would depend on the cops involved, and the locale.
