Post subject:  Stupid Backorders!
Back around February a buddy put in an order for about 6 AR-15 lower receivers so I bought one from him. On 4 April I got around to ordering an upper kit...16\" chrome lined barrel, standard A2 everything and an adjustable stock with two 30 round .223 (5.56) mags. I figured it might take awhile so I just waited. Last week I called the company to find out WTH was going on and if I should cancel the order and go with another company. The guy on the phone pulls up my order on his computer and acted like it was a new order. \"Should be a week or two with what you ordered\". UGH! It's been almost 4 months...I want my AR!

I'm not going to recommend \"AR-15kits.com\" to anyone. Go with someplace else if you're building an AR-15. The prices were good, but it's taking forever!

Three months? That ain't shit. Last year I had ordered an AR barrel (granted it was not a common combination of features, but still) and it took about 10 months until I got it.
And that's not the longest... I've had a .22 conversion kit on backorder for my Glock 19 since February....2009. Still waiting.

Well, it probably wouldn't be so bad, but when I first ordered this kit I called to make a change and they told me back in April that it should only take a few weeks to get everything together. Pretty much the same thing they told me last week...\"oh, you're pretty much a standard A2 so it won't be any problem getting that shipped to you within a few weeks\". It's like they put ME on backorder until they got caught up on previous orders. If they had told me it would take 4-6 months I would be okay, but they told me originally it would only take a few weeks. I'm just looking forward to getting my kit and firing off a few rounds...got a possum just looking to get plinked! ;)
