Well, it's been a long 10 1/2 weeks, but she graduates BCT this Thursday. I'll be going to Ft Jackson for the occassion. Her latest letter said that she qualified second place in her platoon for the hand grenade toss.  So proud of her! Then off to Benning for 12 weeks of OCS. Stay tuned...

Maybe, Snipe! Anyway, her first choice is to go Quartermaster Corps and Mortuary Affairs. She really wants to come back to ST Louis and work in/for the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Or any Nat'l Cemetery. However, her brother did say she mentioned something to him about \"Airborne\". ![[shock]](./images/smilies/anim_shock.gif "Shock")

Family Day and Graduation went off without a hitch. Impressive entrance on Family Day as they came screaming out of the woods opposite the grandstand to the sounds of dummy mortar rounds and through white, green and yellow marker smoke. Reminded me of \"Gettysburg\" as you saw the guidons come charging through the smoke. Good stuff! |
