I'm finally starting to build my collection of A-10 models, and want to begin with the A-10s that were briefly stationed at McChord AFB, Washington, during the 1990's. I know some guys here were involved with that, and hope they can assist me on this project. Basically, looking for tailcodes, photos, etc.

In the future, I'm gonna need info on the JAWS, peanut, flipper, and snow schemes, as well as the two-seater, and I hope to do a natural metal finish of an A-10 all opened up at depot at Hill.

Thanks!

Horrido,

I was just up at Hobby Town today and picked up the Revell 1:48 model. What stuff do you use on your models. This is the first time in a long while that I've doen a model and I'd like this one to turn out like a 22 year old did it, not a 12 year old!

I don't know what you've already got in your kit, but to get started, a standard X-acto knife, toothpicks, tube glue and liquid cement or gap-filling super glue, a jeweler's file, 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper, and three sizes of decent-quality paintbrushes are what you need for bare-bones basics. You can progressively add what you discover you need from there, and I'll be happy to walk you through each step. Just drop a line via here, Yahoo, or E-mail.
