I saw a nice yellow GT at a dealer only auction about 4 months ago.

That's one bad assed looking car, especially in person.

Now I've actually watched the vid I'm going to make the same controversial remark every time somebody takes a street car and winds it up to 1,000 bhp.

Nice toy, but it isn't a super car.

The engineering is top notch and it looks like a real blast but it's not usable.

It's the difference between European and American way of doing things.

We design and build a car from the ground up to handle 1,000bhp. You guys take a car and double what it does.

And how long can it run at full moo under full load - I bet it isn't 8 minutes plus. It'll cook itself in next to no time.

And that's why you can't put your foot down until you hit 3rd. And the braking won't be up to par either.

The first 5 seconds of the vid where it nearly gets stuffed into the side wall shows it's not a super car, it's an adrenalin bullet.

Put this along side a Veyron and it'll show the difference. The speeds at 100mph plus will be similar but off the line - no competition. The GT will be sucking fumes.

And the driver of the Veyron can do the whole thing on an autobox with two fingers on the wheel.

The guy in the GT will need the hand-eye co-ordination of a fast jet pilot and will get out sweating buckets.

But as a hobby (and the guy says that what it is) it's pretty neat.

Sounds good too.

I keep watching that video because it is just way cool. It struck me last night while I watched it again; doesnt that look like Speed Racers car in a way ? Or Racer-X's car ? I thought maybe it the originak was used as an idea for the cartoon.
