Ok......I haven't run across anyone mentioning boats on the WT. So fess up.....anyone here have a boat (or two)? I have an OLD 1967 Hydroswift that I and the family unit like to go fishing in (including the german sheppard). |

I had a 16' plywood/fiberglass boat when I was at Eielson. I used it for fishing in the lakes in the area. That thing was heavy as hell, you'd have thought it was mad of cement. Sold it when I PCSd. |

No desire for a boat....however, after riding a jetski @ 60mph I'm hooked!! OK, I guess they call these kind wave riders, but it's not the kind with the \"lift-up\" handlebars. Not sure if jet ski was the proper term. But anyway, after riding one of those, boats became a yawn to me. |

My old man has had a variety of boats (ex-sailor and all), but i never had the bug. I am actually thankful, i have enough expensive hobbies already! I do enjoy a good outing on a small speedboat though, under 20 feet, with way too much horsepower for the hull size. ![]() Oh hell yeah! |

I have 4. A 17' sea kayak. A 15' canoe and paddeling the North Platte River is a hoot. A 14' Precision Sail Boat, and finally, a 22' SouthCoast Seacraft. ![]() BTW, the 22 has a 5 HP 4 Cycle long stem outboard, and I've used it to tow power boats to shore on 3 occations. ![]() |
