So i go out to my car today after work and happen to notice a \"lovely\" strip of white paint in the middle of my Metallic blue passenger side door. It looks like someone opened their car door into mine, then tried to wipe away the \"evidence\" You could see the finger marks over the strip in the dirt on the side of the car. Needless to say i'm not very happy.

The good news is there doesn't appear to be any actual scratches just the white paint in my clear coat. So does anyone have any tips on removing the unwanted paint so my car is back to looking like its pretty self.

Rubbing compound on a clean cloth rag will do the trick.

thanks snipe, i picked up the compound but i've been freezing my butt off lately and have not been able to wash the car to use this stuff. Hopefully i'll have a nice day so i can get it done soon.
