The Spang Warthogs are in Bulgaria. They meet also the Su-25 Frogfoot.
I am thinking, it is for me years ago that i saw Frogfoots in real.

For i forget, here the whole story.

Just let me update Dutchy's post. And if you are really interested, please also check out the linked additional info on: http://warthognews.blogspot.com/2009/04/sabers-turn-empty-su-25-hanger-into-10.html Thanks to 52nd FW PA and some other sources, this exercise with six deployed Spang A-10s is well-documented.

Ah, the A-9. How many were actually built? 2?

Found this one at March ARB museum.

I thought also two planes. And the one of the March museum i saw it in real, back in 1998. In good shape. Where the other plane is, if there is a second A-9, i don't know.

I'm actually here in bulgaria with the 81st. The official trip ended a week ago but there are still some of us here, the forgotten, who are waiting for parts to get the last of the 8 planes we brought out of here. I was even quoted in the article on the spang website.

Yup, I got a lot of chatter time in the MX driven article. Apparently she didn't talk to any truely interesting people so she talked to me. The airmen quotes made me laugh. One is A/R and the other is a feces flinger.

In the Airforce Monthly magazine is an article about this exercise. With a big picture of the whole crew in it and a picture of Pricilla Griddings (A-10 pilot) between 2 Bulgarian pilots.
