Was going through some old stuff and found this article from Air & Space....the pictures were taken at Moody the 70th Fighter Squadron. Dice was still there, I was stationed at Osan when they took the pictures. It's funny to read the article now because it talks the NVIS mod. Figured ya'll would like this...enjoy....

Thanks for taking the time to scan that in, its a great article.
When you see the present crop of first time Hog drivers, you wonder if they realise the change of fortune the A-10 had, and how fortunate they are to be flying it.
Go back exactly ten years prior to that article, and the future for the Hog was bleak.

181,the FY80 version in the article, was the 81st TFW's commanders aircraft in its early career, I think most of the transfers at that time were to DM and MY from WR when that closed.

Your Right BB,

They need an \"Old Dawg and a Old Driver\" to let the \"Next Generation A-10 Folks\" what the \"A\" Family went thru and did with less, and as the Bastard Child of TAC and how the A-10 was on its way out the door until the Gulfwar.

They got it GOOD NOW, and they don't even know how well they got it after years of work by those folks.

That's a great article and one I've kept stored in my bookcase. Thanks for the effort to scan and post. I'm sure there's many in the community who've never seen it. Great work!
