So I was under the impression that the A-10 was not going to get this upgrade but according to the site below spangs jets got it?! https://www.fbo.gov/?s=opportunity&mode ... e&_cview=1 Anyone at Spang or know someone at Spang? Some folks at the EDs forums (DCS A-10C) basically are calling me an idiot because last I heard we weren't getting it and no one at Moody has said anything about it when I've been down there. I've heard some A-10s do have it, and others will eventually. Of course I heard the same thing about F-16s...and we never saw it. The LOX 21JG does have OBOGS in it. |

There were 2 Moody jets that had it, when they were still at Pope, for testing. It was removed when testing was completed. All Spang jets have it now, permanently. All A-10s, including the Moody ones, will get OBOGs, eventually. |

Thanks, I know LOTS of airman will be happy they won't have to push around a LOX cart anymore!!! |

Since we're still doing acceptance, we have to keep the LOX serviced to keep from doing purges every week or so so we have to remove the bottles to service them. I'm still pretty sure we in the ANG won't see OBOGS for quite some time. |

Unlike the lawn dart, the A-10 is on an equal footing with the REGAF regardless of the MAJCom. The mod schedule is determined by mission requirements, available $$ and proximity to the fight. Because of GREA (I've written of this little gem before) there are times when the Guard or Reserve will see mods before the Air Force, the C model upgrade being a classic example. OC |

PK, if you look in the 12 JG for serviceing you should see a change which talks about OBOGS. Well that is if the TO's are up to date |

I just returned from the -6 rewrite conference and they said that OBOGS was going to happen for all as soon as the funding was there. Who knows when that will be? |
