I don't know...I've got A-10 \"stuff\" in the basement, in the living room, in closes, in boxes...just everywhere. I really have no where to display it all and don't expect to have room anytime soon. A lot of it is random small stuff like cups, mugs, coins and patches ( a ton of this) but, some of it are larger things like my Dru Blair's artist prof of \"Thunderstruck\" (# 12 of 100) and my signed copies of both of Don Logan's A-10 books, Which the second one is numbered 9 of 250. Some of it could be historic in ways like my A-10 precision engagement patches I had made (I have the #1 issues of both designs), my copies of The New Thunder news letters in which the collection of originals have been destroyed, I think I have the largest collection that can been found in any one place...anywhere. I also have a couple of Fairchild Republics neckties, given out in the late 70s and 80s which are very rare. I really don't know what all I have until I go through and collect it up all in one place. So what to do...collect everything up, box and store it? Put the whole damn thing up on Ebay (I could use the money) or, donate it all to the Hill AFB museum? I've loved collecting every piece and I'm afraid that after I do whatever I decide to do...I will regret it afterward. The thing is right now it's not doing me or anyone else any good what-so-ever. What do you think people? ![]() |

Dice-man. Parts of historic items is better to give to the Hill museum. Other things (books, cups, etcetera) is maybe more for sale on E-Bay. But look always first what for you the most imported or intrested items are. Because don't gave or sale everything. Keep the moste persnonal imported items. |

Agree that historical stuff should be at Hill. At least you could visit them. The other things: if it broke or burned, would you feel a loss? Yes? Then keep it. If not, sell! |

What you don't want to donate to Hill I would gladly take off your hands ![]() I understand the dilemma but it's sad knowing your love for the Hawg! Every time someone walks into my office at Robins the first thing they say is \"you must really love the A-10\" then I have to explain to them why... |

Dice Don't forget there is also the Bentwaters Cold War Museum that I am sure would be very grateful for any 81 TFW memorabilia that you might be willing to donate... Cheers! M2 |

I say, display what you can, sell what you don't need and donate the historic For mugs, I've used these accordian coat racks to display them. They work great and really add to your wall. http://www.hangercity.com/exwalrac.html For patches, you can just use picture frames, but for other stuff, you might need more of like a shadow box. Being a hobbiest woodworker, I've built a few shadow boxes, and I'd be willing to help you out with layout and design if you're inclined that way. |

I could see alot of your collection going to The USAF , to be displayed at WPAFB the things that you have that are \"Basically \"One of a Kind\". The Cold Ward Museum wouldn't be a bad idea for the USAFE things. You spent so much time and effort gathering this stuff, Dice just to see it end up on E-Bay by someone else who \"Said Oh I'll take care of it\" Yeah, Right $$$$$$ into their Pocket. But then Giving it to a Base well a Hard thing was learned when England was Shutting down and the 76th TFS was cleaned out. The Stories I'm hearing where alot of the WW2 Stuff from the Case ended up in the Dumpster ![]() Some of it was fished out and Turned over to another, but after that ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You can't keep it under lock and Key and expect it to stay there without checking on it basically everyday anymore. Some people Don't give a SH__! Others just want to make a Buck. Or if you Need the Money, then have a Auction House take care of it, not no little one either. Your dealing with History Joe. Goose |

The Museum of the USAF at Dayton, WPAFB will gladly take anything you'd want to donate. If they get enough stuff they'll usually even make a special display. For instance, I'm in the Society of Wild Weasels and the group was looking for anyone to donate anything having to do with the WW program. Now there's a very large display set up next to an F-105G(WW) and an SA-2 SAM that goes into great detail about the men and the mission of the WW. Maybe with enough A-10 stuff (not just from you) we could get a special A-10 display. Definately have to get your wind tunnel Hog from Hill sent there! Heck, maybe start a Warthog Society with pilots and maintainers. ![]() |

I hear what you guys are saying and I'm still thinking about it. One thing I do know is if I donate it to a museum it will be the Hill museum because of one selfish reason...I would what to be able to go see the collection if the mood struck me. The one thing that keeps running through my mind is something 30mm said... \"The other things: if it broke or burned, would you feel a loss? Yes? Then keep it. If not, sell!\" The answer is yes I would feel a lost if any of my collection was lost...so maybe I'm not ready to part with it just yet. ![]() |
