.....Hi there...I'm new to this board. I have been reading for a bit but wanted to wait until I got word of my assignment before posting. I am currently a T38 FAIP (first assignment instructor pilot) at Sheppard AFB and I recently found out that my follow on assignment is A10s. I will not head out to DM until next fall though...I know M21A1 from another board and C. Andreychik from when he was back here at Sheppard as one of the students I flew with (crazy jarhead!!! ![]() |

Welcome Luke! Your call sign should be "Skywalker". Congrats and your future assignment and have fun in Hog Heaven. I'm an old crew dog on A-10's and I know you will like them. From the ground support point of view they were a great plane to work on. All of the Pilots that I knew, like how the aircraft handeled and its performance in CAS . Again Good luck in your training, and welcome to the Hog! EPK pctech/xA10A crew Chief 9204 |

Luke, I was a T37 FAIP at Sheppard....the first of the new group of FAIPs. I am flying A10s at Spangdahlem now. Send me an email to inkjet@cst.net. I can answer any questions you have about RTU, transitioning from FAIP-land, and operational flying. Glad to hear everyone came away from Sheppard's crash with no injuries. |

Yeah, I didn't realize that was you. That was the most annoying plane I have ever flown. I'm glad that got fixed. You did some good work out there. Merry Christmas. |
