This may sound strange but has any one heard of the HOOLIGAN AIR FORCE? i went to national rc modal air plane event a couple of years ago over here in western australia. Here i was given an a-10 patch bye a kind man, go to the warthog territory home page, A-10 Photos - patch05.jpg - on page 14 for a picture of it. his friend gave me a cap with a patch on it, it has a picture of Taz Devil (the cartoon charactor) sitting on a f-15 holding what looks like a becon thing, i think it is one of those becons that pilots use if they have been shot down to signal where they are. on the top it says HOOLIGAN AIR FORCE and on the bottom it says CIRCUMCIDO OBSERVO ADEO VOLATUS I think that is Latin. THE HOOLIGAN AIR FORCE are a group of people who rescue pilots who have been shot down, i think thats what the guy who gave it to me said. has any one seen this patch? dose any one know or have any one heard about this? pope |

It may just be me, but I was convinced that it's our own CSAR forces that rescue our pilots if they're shot down. Those forces being Jollys, Sandys and Kings. Would that be something particular to the RAAF? Edited by - tinygiant on Feb 02 2003 03:40 AM |

The only Hooligans I know in the AF are the Happy Hooligans, from North Dakota. The Air National Guard unit up there refer to themselves that way and have it on the taails of their F-16s. |

This shouldn't really be in the Hog section, but anyway, I have finally taken a photo of this patch, maybe someone can identify it? <img src="http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/9439/hooliganpatch3hl.jpg" border=0> |

Pope, I've heard of the "Happy Hooligans" and after a quick search found out that they where(are?) members of the North Dakota Air National Guard. However I couldn't tell you why they have an F-15 on the patch since they are an F-16 Unit. Heres a link to some of there unit patches (about half way through the page) http://www.ljmilitaria.com/usaf_44th___299th.htm Here's their website - http://www.happyhooligans.com/index.htm capche-capche da - we go forward together Faugh ah Ballaugh -Clear The Way- Edited by - Lil Hitler on Feb 25 2006 02:29 AM |

The "Hooligan Air Force" is a strictly-RC thing...all the hits from a Google search are RC-related... http://copilotconsulting.com/mail-archi ... 08290.html http://copilotconsulting.com/mail-archi ... 08341.html http://copilotconsulting.com/mail-archi ... 08527.html http://copilotconsulting.com/mail-archi ... 08528.html http://copilotconsulting.com/mail-archi ... 08541.html Try contacting the guy in the link below, he claims to be a Colonel in the Hooligan Air Force... http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.p ... ff2&u=4810 This is <b><u>not</b></u> is related to the "Happy Hooligans" of the 119th Fighter Wing!
