Have ANG units been granting PRK waivers?

PRK, as in the vision correction surgery. I heard the Navy is letting a lot of PRK corrected people in their OCS programs. Some PRK recipients are ending up with 20/10 visions.

Just curious. I would love to get a UPT spot for the A-10, but my eyes are not within the limits.

Are your eyes 20/70 (or better) correctable to 20/20? If so, you may not have to get PRK to get into the Guard.

I haven't heard about PRK waivers, but I'll ask the eye doc next drill (April 15-16) and see what he says.

Ok, here are my numbers from my latest exam. They are in diopters and I do not know how to convert them.


SPH. R: -2.25, L:-2.00
Cyl R +0.25 Axis 030
