Not an A-10 movie but one kick-ass documentary on the Wild Weasel Mission. I worked the F-4G for over 4 years so this one is close to my heart and well worth the time to watch it. Part I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TBpswks2f8 Part II http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWGvHe-1aHc |

I still have the VHS version you sent me Dice, and I have a DVD copy that I got from the Society of Wild Weasels back around '06 or '07. Great video, and...YGBSM! I also was a Weasel Keeper (go figure) for 4 years at George AFB, CA in the 561TFS, 35/37TFW (they merged into the 35th and the 37th went to USAF training). The 35FW is still going strong with the F-16CJ WW mission out of Misawa. |

Dang! I had that on VHS years ago, and loaned it out to one of our pilots just before I retired, and I never got it back. Any way I could hit you up for a copy? I'll be your friend. ![]() Shoot, I'll even be willing to give you a special discount on pistol training if you ever find your way out to CO or WY. This is such a great video about the engineering and training that was involved in this program. It's great historical information as well as training for how to get BIG things done in a very short amount of time. From that aspect, it would be great for managment training. Dude, name your price. |

In early 1983 My shift Super's Brother-in-law worked for McDonald Douglas out at Lambert Field and since we were at Scott AFB IL, He got us permission to take a tour of the Plant at the time. We were in the back of the plant after we came out of the "F-15/F-18 area and their were Hangars of F-4's getting Mods done on them. Well being Crew Chiefs we went over to the Hangars and they were Turning F-4's Into F-4G 's which back then the TECH going into them was "TOP SECRET" . 2 Armed Guards Escorted all of us out and they shut the DOORS ON THE HANGARS! That was my first ever sighting of an F-4G, and I worked with 3 guys that were Old F-4 Keepers and they had never seen one either. But this is back in early 1983. |

After some research, I believe my F-4G (69-7207) was one of the first batch modded. She started out as an E model and was loaned to Australia for a year or two. They wanted to buy F-111s but at the time we didn't have any to sell them so we loaned them some F-4Es until they had 111s to sell. Once she came back to the States in the '70s she became an F-4Geasel. ![]() ![]() |
