I think that picture was taken at The Cradle of Aviation Museum not very far from where I grew up in NY. It just reopend about 2 years ago after being closed for 10 yrs for renovation. I was there about a year ago, but the A-10 was not on public display yet. Too bad my leave ends soon and I'll be going back to Eielson, or else I would have to go see that one in person. I guess I will when I take leave next summer.

EDIT:Yup, now that I actually went and read the remarks, I see it was at that Museum. If anyone is ever in the Area, it is DEFINITELY worth checking out. I think the only museum as good as The Cradle of Aviation is the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in D.C.

They say that the only two things certain in life are death and taxes. I prefer them in that order.

+1,000,000 on The Cradle of Aviation Museum. They actually have one and a half jets on display. A complete forward fuselage on a stand where you can look inside via a step. And a complete Ex Myrtle Beach, Ex Falcon made up in England AFB markings. It is complete and looks to be in really good shape.

The volunteers in the museum are retired members of the NUMEROUS aircraft manufacturers in the area. I spent an hour and a half talking to the ORIGINAL designer of the Apollo Lunar Module. I am definitely going back.

Bradley Field Air Museum has a Hog, but it was one I never worked on.
