USAF Ret. Richard Lemon, AKA RCscience on this forum, passed away yesterday of cancer, here's the email I recieved today....

This is Margaret Lemon. I am Richard Lemon's oldest daughter. I know he kept in touch with many friends and family all over the world via this email address.
Sadly, he passed away yesterday. Just weeks ago, we thought he had beaten the cancer. That was not the case.
He is survived by my Mom, my brother Rob, sister Kate and myself. We all appreciate how important you may have been in his life.
We figure he would rather benefit students rather than have flowers. We have set up a memorial scholarship fund in his name. Contributions may be sent to:

RC Science Memorial Scholarship Fund-Kingfisher Community Trust
124 South Main
Post Office 419
Kingfisher, Ok 73750

If you wish to attend the memorial service, it will be held at 2:00pm at the Kingfisher High School in Kingfisher Oklahoma
Thanks in advance for your prayers and well wishes!

Sincerely,
Margaret Lemon

May he have clear skys and a tailwind.

:o
I'm sad to have finnaly caught this post.

He was a good friend, we had chatted many hours in R/L and being reunited on this forum.

[salute]

He's one of a very select few people that come to mind in the past 30 years of being an Icon of our airforce heritage. The A10 was His sibling.

Damn. Didn't know that. Dick was my CC in the 74TFS at EAFB. He shut down the base. Finest boss I ever had.
