Is it me or does that only have one gun? I thought Tornadoes had two.

2 27mm Mausers originally. The ADV ( Air Defence Variant ) interceptor deleted the left one for fuel or avionics. Eventually the IDS ( strike version ) lost the left one too, probly for avionics.

Umm..is there a reason the 4th pic is photoshopped? I know thw the Tornadoe drivers are a special breed, from the ones I've talked with, but, I don't think the usually taxi or land in the verge, if they can avoid it. (He has grass growing up around his nose and left main.)

Photoshopped?? Not at all. I was shooting from a low angle while the GR4 made its way along the taxiway back to the dispersal.

No offense meant, of course, it just looked funny. Didn't think of the low angle bit. My bad.

those are some great images, love the lighting.

The low angles is something I've just started doing. I've noticed many photogs laying flat on the ground and never saw the finished shots. Gives a great different angle.

None taken. If you ever visit Lossiemouth you will see that they rarely cut the grass. Even when standing up most of the aircraft look like they are hovering above the grass.
