I just snagged 2 Gearbox diecast coin banks, nice detail and accurate markings.
1 is a F4U-1 Corsair "Pappy BOYINGTONS"
2 is a F6F Hellcat
Both have work propellers, folding wings, and stand that is also the key to the bank. Or you can just set them down off the stand on the gear that rolls.
Both were only $10.00 a pc, and just alittle bigger than 1/48 scale/
I'm going to go back and get the 1943 "Early versions" of the
F4F Wildcat with the "Red circle stars" and the F6F with Early 1943 "Stars and bars outlined in red".
They told me they'll get the P-40B ,P-47 and P-51's in time.
But I'm a sucker for a good F4U corsair model ,still to myself the Best fighter of the PTO,plus my Grandfather being a Corsair Mechanic in the Pacific.
I had seen the Pre Production LawnDart in the TRI-COLORS (red, white and blue) but not forawhile but they dont make a A-10 <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> so i'll keep my eyes opened.
