Anyone recall the validity of this pic and it's particulars?

Santa getting some help from the army?

I'm sure it's possible, just not practical, or even safe. You'd have to be able to control the lift generated by the props individually, so the back one doesn't blow the guys off the roof.

Ignorance may be bliss, but it sure ain't fun!

Here's all I have on it 30MM.

The photo was taken by a soldier in Afghanistan of a helo rescue mission. The pilot is a PA Guard guy who flies EMS choppers in civilian life.

Assault is a type of behavior, not a type of rifle.

The only controversy I recall was WHERE it had taken place.
This is a fairly standard practice with Chinooks, I've seen numerous pics of them landing on the side of a hill in Nam. Not many other choppers can do it due to thier tail rotor hitting the hill, the very high mounted rear rotor on the 47 makes it possible.

Gifted, it's no different than hovering while fast roping troops or setting the tail in the water to offload or retrieve SEAL boat teams.

Just cross out "machine gun" and write in "pizza"

Hmm. I'd have thought being so low would have had more backwash. But if it's common practice...

The actually aren't bad rides. Even with a Humvee sling loaded under it.

You might be a "Bulldog" if: You bend over and grab your ankles when you hear: "EXERCISE, EXERCISE, EXERCISE!"
