It'll be cool to see a WWI flying movie.

Ignorance may be bliss, but it sure ain't fun!

Looks like a great flick. I just hope it doesn't try to hard to be a chick flick like they did with Pearl Harbor. That one would have been really great if they'd have maintained focus on the fighting instead of the mush.

It looks a little bit TopGun that trailer, but than without afterburner.

The fact that the chick in pearl was also a galavanting whore didn't help that movie out much either....lol.

Saw on the TV this morning that Flyboys opens in theaters this Friday. I'll be there. After seeing the trailers, it looks like a good flick.

Looks as though they cloned Manfred von Richthofen and now have hundreds of him all flying crimson tri-planes.

I've heard it's gonna be another Pearl Harbor: a film which will live in infamy.

Finally a WWI flying movie. I was hoping someday someone would have the decency to make one about Albert Ball.

Just saw Fly Boys and thought it was really good. Kind of long at a little over 2 hours but had a lot of cool dogfights and action scenes. The love interest part wasn't as bad as Pearl Harbor either. Had a nice mix of funny and serious parts and some really cool looking airplanes too. Started to get a bit boring a couple of times but, just as it did, they threw in some action that brought me back to it. All in all, it's a good movie and I'd recommend it. One other thing, if you happen to speak french you will probably understand more of what goes on. No sub titles.

WWI pilots are about the only indiginous french stars in the fabric of warfare.

I thought a french star of war was the ribbon that enemy soldiers pinned on their tunics after conquering all or part of that shithole country?

True, very true, snipe. I only refer to such as these:

Pilot's Name Victories

René P. Fonck 75
Georges M.L.J. Guynemer 53
Charles E.J.M. Nungesser 43
Georges F. Madon 43
Maurice J.P. Boyau 41
Michel J.C.M. Coiffard 35
Léon J.P. Bourjade 28

It still took courage to climb into one of those caster oil spewing, fire waiting to happen kites w/o a 'chute. The rest of that military and country are worthless. IMHO, of course.
