Maybe somebody of you readers has worked on that base. The plan from some people that worked there in the 1980's to keep a reunion from May 11 - 14, 2007.

Dutchy,

I worked F-4's at CNA from 1973 to 1977. Was the BEST assignment I ever had. Would love to come back for the reunion but, alas, no money following the big D will prevent it this time. However, to use those famous words from WWII, I shall return..........

I flew in the last F15 Squadron there before the Base closed in 94. Went on to Kadena afterwords. ( We got a Mig during the 1st GW)

ALFA Kilo flew there a few Decades before my time. I havnt heard from Andy since he retired from the Airlines. I hope his email address is still good. I'll forward the news to him.

If you Visit Dutchy be sure to take allot of pics, I havnt been in Holland since 94. Would love to see how the base and Community has turned out.

Nice to read the you worked there engineguy and TheBigThug.
I don't go visit it, because I didn't work there.
TheBigThug, did you mean with your MiG story, the one that crashed empty (without the pilot) in Belgium?
I go only when I know there is also a flying part of that reunion, so I can watch it from the spottershill. I go every year to the museum to see the old American jetsglory and a restaurant near the spottershill.

That MiG story, yes that is the only MiG kill from the 32nd Wolfhounds, but not with a Eagle of their squadron but with a Bitburg Eagle.

Yes I like it. That Wolfhounds painting is now in a really bad shape at the museum, but I think you know that Warthop64 and the others don't.
Hodgekin is the name under the cockpitglass on that (museum)plane. Last commander of Soesterberg.
Thanks for the photo's, it brings good memories back.
