Seen that one recently going around. It's kind of funny, because you can see they back the throttle off when the motor starts to lurch forward, and then gun it again. I wish there were pictures of the aftermath with it....had to be messy.

This is a staged training film. It was shown to me a long time ago in Germany. It was one of those (this is what happens when you screw up)

Oh I don't know I personally blew up a few just for the purposes of being a media presentation tool. We even had Fueselage sections we destroyed engines in to see how well it contained and what systems would be sheered by it.


We did everything from Fod to Vagrant what if's

The things we did In TEST/AETC for the betterment of the USAF.... hahaha

Blew up a main tire from an F-4 Phantom in a tire cage once! [shock]

THat was an interesting night! And loud as hell I might add!
Thank God that those old tire cages actually worked! THat rim made one hell of a mess! :lol:
