Last time I checked the Su-27SK and MiG-29A/S where better than the F-15/16. Now look its changed it the Su-30MKI/37 are better. Don't make me laugh. Stuff like this is just a call for the F/A-22 to get through.

The Su-27s combat debut showed it could fire 18 missiles (R-27R) and never hit. All of its kills were with the R-73. The MiG-29 never hti anything. In its histroy it has shot down a cessna and 3-4 Yemenese MiG-21MFs.

This TVC stuff is cute at air shows, but I doubt it will help this pilot dodge the AIM-120C or AIM-9X. Unless we are talking about a dog fight with a Su-30MKI at "bingo" fuel and carrying the R-73 up againist a F-15 carrying it's fuel tanks and only with the AIM-9L. So unless its India vs. Saudi Arabia the Su-30MKI will not be facign poorly flown F-15s with poor weapons.

This guy likley got this off the same site which compared the Su-30MKI to the Mirage 2000-5 but showed the specs and weapons load outs only for hte older less capable Mirage 2000C/E.

And how can the Su-30MKI strike better than the F-15E?

Does it have the JDAM, is the Kh-59ME as good as the SLAM-ER (on Korean F-15s), does it have CFTs? Infact so far all the Su-30MK contracts have not included LG weapons..........

I worry about the MKI with western avionics, but as it stands now, it aint no match for the Mudhen. And I dont think I'm the only one here that IF I were a pilot ( I'm aint) I would welcome the SUs doing thier TV airshow tricks in a fight, the HMS is the only thing the F-15/16s would likely worry about(for a while). Umm.. didnt we (the USA) have some HMSs back in the 60s?

As of today the Indians have around 12-16 Su-30MKI at full stanard wiht plans for 170 more, the other 18 are Su-30MK-1 and Su-30Ks which are not as good and are basically for air defense. The USAF is supposed to do mock combat soon with the Su-30MKI vs. the F-15C/E in air combat. Don't be surpised if the Su-30MKI wins, just to fund the F-22.

Now that plane is a threat in real life also. It pretty well outclasses the F/A-18E/F (had to say that).

The Su-30MKI will carry the R-77PD (AA-12), R-73 (AA-11), Kh-59 (AS-18), Kh-31A/P (AS-17), Kh-29L/T (AS-14), and laser and TV guided bombs also it will be able to use the Derby, Python 4, Popeye and Brahmos. So it will outclass the planes of the Indians enemys (J-10, Su-30MKK, F-16A/B, FC-1, J-6/7/8).

I'm just shacky on someone saying its better than the F-15C/E due to US controled tests.

This is just 1 of the scenarios in which an F-15 can be beat hands down.

Is that the site which talks abouyt the R-27EA which is not real, and says the R-27E is better than the R-77 because of the R-77s shitty motor? Well using an R-27E would be pretty sucidal seeing as the F-15 will be pumping AIM-120s into the Su-30.

Well seeing as the AIM-120 and even the AIM-7M have always crushed the R-27...........

Mind you the AIM-9X is ready, and is coming into service so that will more than crush out the R-73. And mind you the IDF/AF has already been using the Python 4 in its F-15A/C/Is for some time now. South Korea's F-15Ks are coming with the AIM-9X.

And what about the AESA equipped F-15Cs? Or the F-15K which is the most adavaced F-15?

And what does the Su-30MKI have in the area of the AGM-130/SLAM-ER/JDAM/JSOW/Popeye for strike?

I would love to learn how the USAF could test the Su-30MKI before India even got it?

The Su-30 would not even surive the AIM-120 barrage long enough to even fire a R-73.

Now it might be better for air shows, but thats about it.........

And 2 of the MiG-29s shot down during Kosovo were in 90 dergee dives, those did not help as the AIM-120s killed BOTH. So there goes that doppler notch thoery.........

You linked the same site which has that crappy Su-30MKI and Mirage 2000 comprasion...........

Even if a SU-30MKI did kick an F-15E's tail, what's that to brag about? You beat a bomber with a fighter? I think I'd rather not brag about that. You might as well have been dogfighting an F-111. Fighting an F-15C is much harder than fighting an F-15E!!!!! But I do think that letting the Indians win would do wonders for the US Airforce's aircraft procurement budget next year......

Well the Su-30MKI is not even close to the F-15E as a striker seeing as no PGMs have been launched from it and none have been tested. The Kh-59ME, Kh-31A/P, Kh-29L/T and KAB-500 have not been tested on it, they have bought none. So far the have the R-77, R-27ER/ET and R-73.

So we get back to a F-15E/I/K which has..........

APG-70 or APG-63(v)
1*20mm Vulcan
AIM-120B/C
AIM-7M
AIM-9L/M/X
Python 3/4 (I)
Popeye (I/K)
AGM-84F(SLAM-ER) (K)
AGM-88C (HARM) (K)
AGM-84C (Harpoon) (K)
AGM-65 (Maverick)
JDAM
LGBs
Mk-80 family of dumb bombs

And the Su-30MKI.....
N-011M
1*30mm
R-77 (AA-12)
R-27ER/ET (AA-10C/D)
R-73E (AA-11)
FAB-500 (1000lb dumb bomb)
FAB-250 (500lb dumb bomb)

The Su-30MKI is not fitted with the Kh-59/31/29/25 as of yet.

So what is the Su-30MKI better in, barn storming does not count.......
