Did the A-10 will be operationel for 20 more years ? Or it will be replaced by the F-35 (hope not) or even an other new planes ?

to be honest nobody really knows how CAS will be handled 20 years from now, it could be anything from a C-17 with a DEW gun, to UCAVs, to B-52s with SDBs. Most likely it will be F-35A with a mid-range missle probly the JCM, basically a longer ranged Hellfire.

Seriously, the F-35A suck in armament payloads...mainly because he is small and stealth...

So maybe the A-10 will be there but with better engine ? better armor ? better missile and bombs ? or even a better gun
