Just interjecting my opinion. But #7 looks like the true Hornet.

Bet that some of us would rather fly it than an F-18.

#12 looks like an SU-24 Fencer.

#10 is obviously a lawn dart in USMC dress.

#15 SR-71 Wind tunnel test model with a big pimple on its ass.

Overkill??? I'd kill a fly with a howitzer if I had one.

#13 is that experimental Nazi bird. I think it was called the P.1107 or something. Can't remember, but i had a model of it for CFS.

#6 looks like a modified tail section on a Canberra.

Horrido informs me that it is not P.1107, but in fact P.1101, and was a Messerschmidt design.

The 1101 design has the distinction of being the first ever swept wing fighter jet IIRC.

Wanna get a Vark pilot upset?? Just call the Fencer a Russian Aardvark.

Those are cool photos. I remember reading about the testing of the F-16N back in the early 90's. That was also the time of the big A-16 discussion.

Thanks for the post.

Cheers...

I'm pretty sure the USN bought the F-16N; for the Fighter Weapons School.

the 1101 was the first SWING wing VG design to fly, both wings pivoted on the same axis lol, another one, the older Jaguar? did the same thing IIRC

I got some freaky deaky trashhauler pics but they're mostly white tail gov birds for avionics testing and most likely no-one will know anything about them.

Boomer, the P.1101 never flew (discovered 80% complete), and the wings could only be adjusted while on the ground.
