At the Fairchild Airshow on the 25th, at the model display table the kids asked to see two planes more than any other: the "F-117 stealth" and the "A-10 Warthog." Since I'm one of the few guys that build modern aircraft, I feel like I let these little girls and guys down. This will NOT be permitted to be the case next year, however. Since I've revamped my airbrush set-up, once I get some immediate modeling commitments out of the way, I'm starting on my line-up of A-10s. The first I intend to build is the "winter scheme" that originally brought be to this board four years ago. The post is still available, but anyone with further information on that aircraft would definitely be welcomed.

On the stealth side of things, who would I approach to look for archived, unpublished yet publicly available information and photographs regarding the "Have Blue" program? Need to hunt for data on the cockpit, gear bays, landing gear, exhaust, and paint scheme for the first prototype. From what I've read, the cockpit basically came from an F-5, and the gear from an A-10, though the main gear in the photos doesn't seem to jive with this statement.

Thanks!

I've been told almost all of the off-the-shelf parts came from F-16s and F-18s.

T7 is in an F-117 billet now. He could probably hook you up with photos and interesting trivia.

I hope a Spit Mk IX is at the top of your to-do list.

If not i want my fuzzy dice back. ;)

That's, right, Snipe, take time away from the little ones. Just can't help but imagine you shoving them out of the way in line for the merry-go-round or cotton candy vender... <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

It's in the works and going well. Which reminds me, e-mail me your full initials (WC just ain't cutting it, though the Water-Closet reference DOES have some poetic appeal) and birthdate, I've got an idea. lol
