FORT WORTH BILLIONAIRE ENTERS SUPERSONIC JET INDUSTRY: Fort Worth billionaire Robert Bass and aerospace veteran Brian Barents are teaming up to form a new supersonic business jet company, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Thursday. A news conference disclosing details of the new company, Aerion Corp., and its supersonic aircraft plans, is scheduled for Oct. 11. Barents was chief executive of Learjet from 1989 to 1996.
