I'm a Kings fan

I know they suck, but I have been a Kings fan since I started to watch hockey in 1991. I have been to many Kings games, including the 2nd greatest come back in Kings playoff history. You Redwing fans will remember that as the Playoffs in 2001 when the Kings were down 0-2 and then won 4 straight, including game 5, 2 goals with less than 5 min to go and Deader's overtime goal to seal it.

I like the Duck's stadium much better than the Staple center. You're much closer to the action.

We also have the Long Beach Ice Dogs here. Saw Dave Taylor and Jim Fox there scouting for the Kings.

I also play hockey, but only roller though. Ice is too expensive in sunny southern California.

HA!

I remember when the Redwings were able to field the "Ov line":
Igor Larionov
Sergei Fedorov
Slava Kozlov
Slava Fetisov
Vladimir Konstantinov

Swap out Federov for Vladimir Krutov and we have the original Soviet Central Red Army team.

I missed some standings now, but if I am right than has Detroit lost their last game after nine winning games. No new record.

My hometeam doesn't play well, they lose to much. But they have a new Russian player and he is good, also some Canadian players are in the team.

Salute Dutchy

Buffalo has weathered a few injuries in the past few weeks but still hanging tough. The Ducks are still hot but they know that the injury bug is always lurking.

Hey Dutchy: Guess where I just got back from yesterday...

EDIT BY M21: Please resize and repost those pix. They were gihugic, and really screwed up the displaying of the text on this page. I tried to simply parse them into a URL link, but the new software seemed to want to have none of it. LOL.

Hey Weasel, sorry that it took to long for answer. Nice pics, take them from a metrostation? And did you saw a game?
If you noticed, Steve Yzerman was honoured last night. On the website of Detroit Red Wings you can find some clips of it.

I tool the pics from the Detroit People mover.

The last hockey game i was at was with 30mm and Boomer, for a St Louis Blues home game(road game for me, lol).

They retired Bernie Federko's jersey that night, i still have the little souvenier banner they gave away in my garage. The best hockey game i've ever been to was the year Lindros led the Flyers to the Cup finals, when in the semi-final round Flyers Center Rod Brind'Amour scored TWO shorthanded goals in ONE shift to clinch the series for the flyers.

A good read Dutchy. If things go well with my job search, I might become a season ticket holder to the Phoenix Coyotes.

Dutch Icehockey season is over. Yesterday beat Tilburg mine favourite team Heerenveen in a best of five serie. Tilburg is now Icehockeychampion of the Nehterlands. I hope next year is the year of Flyers Heerenveen. That wait since their glory-years 1979-1983 for the big price.

Hopely Detroit make the hockeyseason good :D

I retract my statement about being a Coyotes ticket holder. I'm moving back to Detroit so I'll be going to Wings games again!!!

Did I call the goalie situation for the Avs or WHAT!!!! It's just that it took Quenville too long to sh!t or get off the pot. Now that they got Parker back (albiet too late in the season) there is the slightest hope for them the make the playoffs. They are on a run and the Flames are starting to slip. The Canucks aren't as consistent either. Gotta wait and see with 10 games to go.

Almost forgot to bump this up. Since the first round is over and all the pretenders have gone home. Who you got lifting Lord Stanley's Cup!?! My pick is the Buffalo Sabres. I have waited so long for this. \"These guys are good.\" Scary good!\"

Havent been able follow it as closely as I would like because of my schedule but yeah I think the Sabres are the team to beat.

First game. Sharks beat Red Wings :x
I hope and I think Detroit strikes back and win in a 4-2 of the best of seven.
And than they go for the Cup!!!

I think the Wings will pull this round off in 6 games.

If the Wings win the Cup, and the Pistons win the NBA Championship, it'll be a helluva week here!
