It isnt AFM, I didnt see any "singeing" in those stories, did it turn out to be a hoax or something? The mag I'm co-responding with, knows my full story and they dont seem worried.

Well what is the truth Boomer? Either the feds are after you or they are not. It sounds like your not too scared if your going to give your full disclosure to the world after all. Or was the fed story just another way of not answering the hard questions? Maybe because you can't answer them without looking stupid.

M21 Sniper knows the e-magazine, and Boomer told the story to Sniper. Here is one of his posts:

Now after all this, the funniest part is Boomer and his friends are so secretive about the images. If anyone were honest and not looking to get lots of attention, do you think that things would work out this way on a forum like this? Don't you think if Boomers aircraft were real he would have no problem answering the questions about the strings and other very simple questions? I don't think that the e-magazine that Sniper is talking about is the same one that Boomer is talking about giving his story to (the one you've written articles for, right, Sniper?). Most of the regulars here probably know the one I'm talking about. And I'm just as curious as anyone else to here the story on this, because it might be a nice way to explain the donuts-on-a-rope contrail I saw several years ago.

It has to be Aircraft Illustrated then. Aircraft Illustrated have run articles a few years back. These articles highlighted the accounts of three 'watchers' on Tikaboo Peak.

You are correct sir, the magazine i forwarded these photo's too is the one i write for, NOT the one that Boomer is dealing with(although i'm not privvy to that end of things).

I find all this hostility toward Boomer pretty amusing. If certain individuals think Boomer is just playing games, then why are these individuals feeding into his 'BS'?

And just for the record, i can absolutely vouch for the fact that Boomer was advised by a former federal employee to 'just drop it'.

Hey Sniper/Anyone,

Maybe someone can tell me - why did Boom even post the pictures in a public forum if he didn't want people to talk about them or ask questions? Thats what forums like this are for right? Why is it wrong to ask questions? And more importantly why is it important for Boomer not to answer them? What is there to be so afraid of? I just don't understand.

Hello all. I've been following Aurora for quite some time now, and here are my observations.

The Pictures: They look authentic as far as real photographs versus computer generated/altered. I'm not sure I agree with the Photoshop people about the lines. Film does scratch and even the setting on your scanner can make lines like that. As a photographer my only problem is with the picture that is kind of panaramic of the side of the aircraft. With a 1000mm lens that picture should be the blurriest assuming that aircraft is the closest to the photographer in that shot.

The Plane/Model: RC model is out of the question unless it was built by someone with incredible resources. One thing I noticed was the position of the wheels, how the rear wheels are tilted up. Would someone building a model go to such great lengths?

Someone mentioned the stealthness of the aircraft, mainly the angle of the tail. First was the purpose of this aircraft to be stealthy or be a technology test bed? Second considering the speed and the heigth the aircraft operates how stealthy does it need to be? Third does it need to be stealthy if it doesn't operate over foreign contries? Fourth, there could be new stealth technologies used that overcomes the problems with angles used allowing aircraft designers more flexibility in design.

Aurora definately exists! The Aurora is the size of a small commercial airliner, does use a pulse jet type engine, reaches speeds in excess of Mach 5, and it's operation altitude is sub orbital. I was told that the program was started around the same time as the Space Shuttle program in an effort to build an aircraft that could reach the edge of space and reach anywhere in the world in a matter of a couple hours.

So how did these photos come into being? If this aircraft is one of the closest guarded military secrets there is no way there would be these photographs. Considering the age of the aircraft it is most likely that it has been superceded by something much more advanced, possibly by several. It's possible that Aurora is being used in a new role, most likely recon if they can fit the equipment in the front of the aircraft. This isn't unreasonable considering how strained our overhead intel resources are. Which is faster, tasking a satelite or having an aircraft be there in a few hours? If these pictures are authentic, it may mean that the military is slowely taking the wraps of it.
