Animate Clay-

Boomer posted the pix here for the benefit of his friends here at WT. It was ME that posted them everywhere else.

And yes, it is fine to ask questions, but it is just asd fine for Boomer or anyone else to decline to answer said questions.

He has just stated that he cannot speak about the photo's until Nov.8th, when his article is released.

So tune in Nov.8th, and all will be answered.

A remark on the stealth comments...

Current stealth technology is slowly becoming useless anyway, as radar has been developped that can detect current stealth aircraft based upon air currents as opposed to reflection of waves off of a surface...so a vertical stab is virtually irrelevant.

Nicely put Intensity...

All arguments and comments regarding stealth are valid and have been made so I won't repeat them. However, does it really need to be stealth anyway? SAM can't catch up to it anyway and by the time they've detected the Aurora its too late. However, according to the photos it looks like some stealth tech has been added to the plane. And who's to say that the rules governing stealth plane design are the same at Mach 1 and Mach 10? Something to think about at the least.

There's no background in this photograph. This picture doesn't appear to be fake. it could just be that the angle was such that there was no trees in the shot.

I've been cleared and encouraged (<img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>) to say that the article along with some more (different)pics will be in the Nov 8th issue of Aircraft Illustrated.

Hey Boomer,

It is a miracle you took so many images of this very top secret plane. A few posts back I said you could throw the model to remove the strings, and I even said you would be doing this. And you now say there are different pictures being used in the magazine. I bet you won't use any of the images where I picked out the strings - in fact I would bet money on it if anyone wants to put some money down lol! Seriously, I will bet anyone.

I typed Aircraft Illustrated in the search engines, 154,000 sites came up. What is the link to the magazine web site? And are you going to answer any questions now that you have been given clearance?

I'm not saying the pictures are fake...I'm not saying they are real...but who knows what the government has that we have no idea of, or could even comprehend. Remember, the F-117 first flew in the mid 70's, that technology is almost 30 years old...I'm sure we have gone a long way from there....I'm sure there are things in the inventory that put the F-22, JSF, or any other "public" aircraft to shame...I also believe there are some things the public doesn't need to know...

Well,

The only way anyone will get my cash is when Boomer tells us where to see the article. If you guys can talk that out of him we'll make some bets.

uh...clay, the article is in a REAL magazine, not one of these fly-by-night webMags where you probly get most of your info. The article WILL include the pics where you think you found strings (but didnt)as well as others plus the pics in the mag will be of a higher quality. The story is embargoed but NOT the fact that it's comming out! I see the "bet" is already being altered, how much $ clay? Not that FLAMERS ever pay up. Folks I would encourage ALL of you to take clays bet that the MAG pics arnt the ones I posted here!!! STILL no lies and NO altered photos!!!(my computer is being powered by my own sense of self satisfaction!!! and the money they're paying me. heehee).

Nobody,

Finds it strange that Boomer won't tell us where to get this magazine? Sniper I put 20 US dollars down that Boomer has lied about everything. That's how confident I am. If I am wrong I will admit it here, and pay you. I don't mind admitting I am wrong, my ego is not that huge. My address is:

Marc Spess
5 Patty Ellen Dr.
St. Peters MO

I swear right here that I will pay. You know where I live. Here is my phone number: 6362782086 Tell me where I can find any of your magazines past issues. How can I make bets about a magazine I can't get?

Sniper,

Your going to have to get Boomer to talk. I think any question I ask will go unanswered. If you want to bet on the magazine and can find out where I can get it, e-mail me at Marc@animateclay.com.

Great,

I e-mailed them to ask if they planned on releasing the images in their mag, or know anything about it. There is no mention of it on their November 8 preview page here:

http://www.ianallan.com/publishing/airi ... reinfo.htm

Sounds like a good magazine for sure,
Marc

Hello,

Boomer, A-list members, and "those in the know", I like some clarification for others and myself who chanced upon this thread. Here we go:

1. What exact monthly issue of <i>Aircraft Illustrated</i> is all of this going to be featured in?

2. Will the story in the magazine include mentions of your advisements from certain "individuals", Boomer and M21 Sniper?

3. For those whose Barnes and Noble book stores (or other bookstores) don't carry the magazine, will anyone's site have the full story and pictures after the magazine's distribution?

Despite the question of authenticity, this has been interesting. I appreciate the chance to possibly see another classified aircraft, Boomer.

Thanks for your time,

devpaladin (devpaladin@wideopenwest.com)

Ok couple more points here.

If the pictures are real, this could be any number of secret military aircraft. Just because it looks like what we believe the Aurora to look like doesn't mean that it is the Aurora. Like someone pointed out, Aurora is old news, it's old technology, there is stuff in our inventory that is much more advanced. Our government is almost 50 years ahead technologically than us outsiders believe. Don't fool yourself, Aurora is old news! This is like capturing pictures of the F-117 a couple months before it was unvieled, the thing had been in the air for over a decade with no pictures. I'll show these pictures to a friend, he can tell me if it's the real deal or not.

Here's a prediction... Aurora officially announced before Gulf War 2? May be a reason why this forum hasn't been shutdown already :)

Oh yeah, I live in Australia so i'm not sure whether I'll get this mag. so if anyone could scan it and post it or something I would very much appreciate it.

Also i have a small question, how exactly would the Aurora avoid overheating if it is travelling at speeds greater than mach 5? I've heard some people suggest the old 'ionize the air infront of you (with a negative charge for example) and give the front of the plane a negative charge' trick... apart from that?

Hi Boomer,

I don't know what happened to the Trans USA MX park. Maybe it will be bought out by someone else?

I pasted and resized an image of the testors kit next to Boomers picture for comparison.

<img src="http://www.animateclay.com/deletelater33.jpg" border=0>

It is the testors X-R7 Thunder Dart, and is about 14 inches long, and is 1/72nd scale. Kind of big for that scale. The kit comes with three landing gear. The only difference between the kit and the pictures are the number of wheels. However the kit does have 6 wheel halves.

The cockpit is exact, the canopy length is exact, and it definitely looks 100% the same to me. Here are some more views on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 1781583532

Just an observation if this craft did exist. It would probably be over 25-30 years old since computers were not fast enough to compute curved surfaces. That is why most of the faceted stealth craft have none.
