I agree about Cheney. I think keeping him as vice president will doom the Republican party after 08. I really don't see Cheney being able to run on the G.O.P ticket as a presidential candidate. I hope after Bush wins later this fall, he cuts loose some of the old gaurd republicans within his administration, most notebale being Cheney and Rumsfeld. I still think John F. Lehman would make an excellent candidate for president, saw him speak last month...He has done alot with various elder statesmen such as Henry Kissinger, and the late president Reagan, and is still young enough to make an impact. I am not sure if the man has any presidential aspirations or not, but he would make a good one.

I'd choose McCain and bring those who are sitting on the fence with him.
