THIS ISNT A POLITICAL DEBATE,THE DOD ISSUED THE ORDERS FOR STOP-LOSS AND FENDER HAS IT RIGHT WHEN IS ENOUGH, ENOUGH?
I DONT CARE WHAT PARTY YOU ARE

IN 2 YRS WE'LL BE HERE FIGHTING OVER "INVOLUNTRAY DISCHARGES" TROOPS WHO WANT TO STAY IN BUT,NUMBERS TELL THEM THEIR ON THE STREET WHEN THEY COME HOME NO MATTER WHAT.
ASK A COUPLE OF 1000 MARINES IN 91-92 WHEN THEY GOT HOME THE FIRST TIME,
DISCHARGED DUE TO MANNING.

ON A DIFFERANT NOTE ,I'M GLAD TO SEE TERRY BACK ON AND WITH THE OOE WE HAVE A GOOD VIEW OUTSIDE THE BOX.

MONEY TALKS,B.S. JUST PILES UP.

THATS ALL I'M SAYING,

CHECK THE FACTS BEFORE QUESTIONING SOMEONES REASON.

HOW LONG YOU BEEN IN THE SERVICE BIGVETTE? YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT IF YOU GO TO YOUR CONGRESS MAN OR SENATOR YOUR LABELED "P.I) POLITICAL INFLUENCE AND YOU'LL NEVER HEAR THE ENDED OF IT. REALLY SCREWS UP YOUR CAREER OR PUTS DOUBTS ON IT.

What happened to that central American they wanted to try for desertion after they illegally tried to keep him in after the mandated 8-years were up (Ie, some rule to which non-citizens MUST be discharged after eight years)? He said,"My time's up, let me out." They refused to process him out, in violation of the law, so he just left, and yet they want to prosecute him for the military's illegal action. lol

Livin' life in the fast lane and just passed a blur reading "BRIDGE OUT!"

I'm sorry. I'm confused. MWO Stopford was 2 PPCLI. The incident would have nothing to do with your regt.

Nice to meet another Canadian bellycrawler.

I'm confused now also...lol. The guys I know who were in the platoon at the time were Royals, I served with them in 1 RCR. I beleive they went over with a company from 2 RCR. So I cant say for certian if Stopford is a Patricia, but the troops I know are deffinatly Royals. Bellycrawlin......I tried to avoid that as much as possible. Of my 9 yrs....I spent 6 of them in combat support company. First 5 in TOW and then a year doin things up your ally in Assault Pioneer. What I would have done to get onto a combat divers course....

So, you liked facial hair? Sorry, I couldn't grow facial hair if my life dependeed on it.

Nope...wasnt a fan of the beard. Gets dam itchy after in the feild for a few days. Wish I could get a confirmed answer on the story as to why the tradition, one was related to the artic and the other dates back to the bore war. *shrugs* I only made it 1 week in the platoon before i was order to stop shaving lol

So what parts of the country did you spend the majority of your time? I assume you moved around alot making it to L Col. The engineers travel around much...or you guys move from regiment to regiment? For us it was very rare for anyone to transfer regiments...just move around to the dif battalions.

Hehehehe,

I was 1CER until my Captains but looking back, I may have spent only a 3rd of my field time there. The schools and Bde HQ got alot of my time. Got tossed to Ottawa a hell of alot (maybe I'm one of the few who can do APPLE II).
