So was was just looking around af.mil news site when I came across the following article.

http://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123185178

Look at the caption for the first picture. For one I didn't know she had rear flaps let alone that the rudder actuator controls them.

And I'm sure it was a top notch quality inspection.
I'm not blaming the phase guys., but with such a demand for airframes, and going through hours so quickly driving the phase flow, anyone who believes that that jet is \"fixed\" is deluding themselves.

Of course they're important! And remember, the actuators for the explosive engine bolts are back there, too! [lol]

I knew about them, always had to be careful when replacing the engine as they were known to go off due to static electricity

The worst is that this all started because the af.mil site doesn't post the correct information.

No the AF.mil site didn't it was Whoever Wrote, Edited and Proof read the article for mistakes.

It's like take something from \" taking putting a panel back on,\" to \"Replacing a Major Aircraft Surctual part \" EPR/APR Writing at its Finest.\"

How many times did you see the Unit Wrong with the PATCH in the background? Some that worked in PA tried to Make sure it was \"True and Correct\" but someone back in the States already wrote the story without the Background.

But shhhhhhhhhhhh, those Explosive bolts are a OPSEC issue.
