Today is the day that number 73-1664 flew for the first time in 1975. It flew the first flight over Edwards afb, was also the last single seater that tested there from the first A-10 serie.
Later it became the one and only N/AW A-10 the twoseater.

February 15 1991, Desert Storm. Capt Todd Sheehy shoot a MiL Mi 8 Hip helicopter down.
Sad news on that day was the lost of a pilot [salute] and another pilot get down and was taken prison in Iraq.

Why I telling this? Because I was born on the day that 73-1664 did his maiden flight. Or is it her maiden flight?
Is their also more February 15 A-10 news?

That was a Rough Day in the \"Sandbox\" :( ,The only bright side was the Shoot Down. We're getting close to the Anniversary of 80-0186's Col Sawyers \"Miracle A-10 Landing\" PROVING That the A-10 COULD TAKE IT ONCE IN FOR ALL!(You pointy headed idiots ) :)
