An article about the combat with A-10. But more intresting is, they use an old picture by that article.

You can make enlarge the picture if you want.

Just further demonstration of the ignorance of the Air Force when it comes to the A-10. That picture is at least 18 years old. Come on! Can't we do a little bit better than that? A company that is spending $2.5B on a system can't publish current pictures in its press releases? Would GM issue a press release with a picture of a 1972 Vega on it?

No wonder the AF is losing influence in Washington.

I send an e-mail to AF.mil about the picture. That the picture is to old to use it by that article.

With all the photos the AF has, to use that one is just sad.

Unfortunately everything on Airliners.net is copyrighted so you can't really use it.

Very true. I would hope the USAF would contact the photographer for permission to use a photo though.

The United States Air Force has hundreds, if not thousands, of current A-10 pictures.

Blame it on a copy editor. They usually look at how thinks look and may not be versed in what the current unit and paint scheme are.

HEY! I had a '73, (assembled on a Tuesday) and it was actually a pretty good vehicle. It even sacrificed itself for me, taking a direct hit from a Buick Electra 225. [shock]
