Hello everyone, So the first segment of the latest Futreweapons is all about the A-10C. It was filmed down at Davis Monthan. Then even let old Mack buzz around in the new sim. Awesome episode in what was starting to become a rather lame series. According to the Discovery channel website the episode isn't supposed to air until the 19th, but it was on twice last night. I've got it DVR'd so if I can upload the segment somehow I will, but it'll be on several more times I assume. The episdoe is called \"hard target.\" http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/future-weap ... es-03.html Cool. |

Wow the A-10 on future weapons, who would have ever thought it 10 years ago. |

Yeah, you have to admit it, FUTURE weapons doing a story on a 30 year old aircraft, is a little funny. Yeah, I know, it's about all the upgrades. |

I just saw \"Future Weapons\" with the \"A-10 Charlie Warthog\" No they didn't say the \"Engines could be Jettisoned \" Then they started talking to the Wing CC I must be SEEING THINGS, or there was a time warp He was a \"Flat-Top wearing, HIGH GLOSS boot , Baby Face 2nd Louie \" when I first met him at EAFB La he had just got there in must of been 1986 when he got to the 76th TFS. Call sign \"AGGIE\" because he was a \"Graduate\" from Texas A&M ROTC, and \"Tom\" another DCC use to give him the \"UT\" \"Hook'em Horns\" sign and yell \"Gigg'em Aggies \" when he walked to the Jets He was a \"Code 3 Cockpit Disaster\" his first few months ,but when he settled in \"He was Good Pilot and could \"Dish it out too\" especially when UT PLAYED A&M then it got \"Nasty\" His ladder door looked just like \"Tiger 1's except he had \"Aggie\" on it. Glad to see he made \"Full Bird\". Goose |

I haven't seen the show, but I'm guessing you are talking about Rat...now the wing commander at D-M. Coach |

Coach, I forgot about \"Rat \"until you said something. But he doesn't look any different then he did in the 76th, thats what surprised me and I see he has some of \"His Alumni\" with him too from the \"Vanguard Days\". Goose |

The Rat is ageless...but he is known as Yoda to the F-15E community. |

I can see why.
\"Rocky\" (You Old Timers\" know who I'm talking about in the A-10 family) When he first saw him asked him \"Are you \"Old Enough to Fly?\"
We gave him so much , when he first started flying I'm surprised he didn't \"Shoot Us\".
Well If you ever see him Coach, or know some who does, have them ask him about his \"Aggie\" Days in the 76th and those \"Damn Crew Chiefs\" in the 76th AMU Goose |
