OK, need some help with my data.

Bases closed by BRAC, Eielson- aircraft when to Pope and DM, anywhere else? NO-aircraft went to Barksdale, anywhere else? MA-aircraft went to new Razorback unit in Arkansas, anywhere else? Battle Creek (is this base completely closed now) aircraft went to Bosie, anywhere else?

Realignments- Pope- moving to Moody. CT- moving to new base at?

Please fill-in the blanks and what am I missing here?

Battle Creek is still open, I believe the move to Selfridge will happen in FY09.

Connecticut didn't move, just lost the A-10. Their aircraft went to Arkansas, Baltimore, Spangdahlem and Boise.

Willow Grove is still open, will begin losing their aircraft next year. Spang is trying to grab the low timers, don't know that the decision has been made on where the rest are scheduled to go.

Not all of Barnes' aircraft went to Arkansas, at least one is at Baltimore. I know that 'cuz we just got done with the BLOS mod on it.

Some of Eielsons jets did to go Guard and/or Reserve units, I can confirm that, but I can't remember how many or which ones. I'll ask at work tonight if anyone remembers.

B.C. jets to Selfridge is correct for FY09 and some from Willow Grove going to Selfridge as well but I'm not sure of the time frame on those?

Thanks for the info guys, this will be used in a forward to my book. I just want to explain that a lot of the bases that are listed with some of the images are now closed or realigned, and give a quick blurb like, Eielson is now closed and it’s aircraft were spread to other bases like Pope, and DM. I don’t want to go into specifics like where each tail number went, just a large general reference on the BRAC changes.

A bunch of our jets at Eielson went to KC.

I also remember that a few of our jets went to Spang, but that was supposed to be only temporary until they moved to there permanent home in a Guard/Reserve Unit.

I couldn't recall personally, that's what one of the one of my friends who expedited at Eielson said. But if you don't see them, I guess he was wrong.

Hey Billy,

Gas is cheaper in Arkansas ! Or better yet \"Moody is nice too\" just have to figure a way to get the \"Old Girl\" to the 76th FS there.
Then She'll Feel Great! Smiling again !
I'm sure \"She misses you too\", not saying anything bad about who's got her now, but you had her the longest. I had 6 years with her.

I've heard april 09 for Willow Grove to start losing, but with them finishing up a deployment before that, I'd bet they start losing them earlier. The original plan was 3 to Maryland, 3 to Idaho, and 3 to Selfridge, retiring the rest...but who knows.

Oh, and check this out....there's a pretty cool photo on fence check of a CT A-10 that is now with Boise, and has some 'mixed' markings.
