This is a post to keep everyone updated on the progress of my promised custom A-10 prints...and a request for info. sorry I've been a stranger, but I had to put the project on the back burner for a while until I could scare up a photo of the top of a hawg engine nacelle, which for some reason was harder to find than pictures of bigfoot. I finally managed to take one myself at the Dayton Air Show, where I successfully convinced a crowd of thousands that I was insane by waving my camera attached to its tripod over my head in order to snap photos of the clamshell door hinge. After about fifty tries I finally got a good one, and work resumed on my prints, which are now largely complete. I currently have finished profiles of hawgs representing all of the active duty squadrons in their current livery. I've posted a low-rez sampling below, which also includes a Euro hawg (chopper popper) just for giggles. I've also posted a close-up so you can see how much detail there is in each print. Four squadrons are absent, as I have not yet managed to scare up a good photo of any of those birds with readable name placards.

That's where you guys can help me...if any of you have recent pix of hogs from the Idaho ANG, the 66th Weapons Squadron, the 358th Lobos, or the Black Hogs that clearly show the name placard, I would love you to post them here or send them to me. Ideally, the photo would include enough info, or be supplemented by photos that include enough info for me to get the numbers and other markings right. (Often just a serial number is enough...I have both of Don's excellent photo books and the whole internet for reference, so I can normally look up a long shot. It's the close-ups that are hard to get.)

The prints look great and the art itself is designed to allow me to rapidly produce custom prints of any given hawg in the inventory, gear up or gear down, ladder door open or closed...which means I will be able to offer very large custom prints (30 inches across) of YOUR favorite hawg for around fifty bucks. Those of you going to Hawgsmoke can see a print in person if you can catch up with Don Logan, who will have a physical sample with him. As soon as I complete the rest of the current inventory hogs, I will get more information online, and you will no doubt hear about it here first.

And yes, I've got some older hogs on the way.

Hey Fritz-
One of the ID planes was just at the McChord airshow a couple weeks back. Unfortunately, I didn't get a good shot of the tail, but here are pics I did get that may or may not help you...

Notice the BLOS antenna is on now...

This one is a closeup of the engine art...

I do have a pic that barely shows the tail, but just enough to tell what the tailflash is so you could see what one they currently have, but not near enough to pull any kind of graphic work from, so if you have more than one example but aren't sure which one is currently used, I could maybe help you with that.
Let me know if you need higher res shots, these were scaled way down for uploading.
Hope it helps...

Do you have one that shows the pilot name placard? That's what I'm really after.

Wouldn't mind a good profile shot of the BLOS antenna, either, if anyone has one of those. (Need it from the side, so I can judge the angle of the slope)

Fritz,
RE: 103rd FS / 111th FW PA ANG
the 103rd FS really doesn't go by Black Hogs anymore, now it's \"Philly's Fighting 103rd\" . The name Black Hogs apparently had some issues with it......and offended some people.
Here's a pic that should get you what you are looking for. I can problem get the actual names on the side of the jet if you know what jet # you are doing. Let me know if you need anything else for the PA jets, I got you covered.

Outstanding! Just what I needed...

Do you know if this plane has the tailcodes done in the typical style, or the PA rendered with a drop shadow?

Just another update...I finally managed a 358th photo and a Skullbanger photo, so now I just need a 66th Weapons hog.
