Hello again! Please take a first look on http://warthognews.blogspot.com

Sorry that most of planned background stuff is still under construction. But content will be updated on a daily basis.

I just created these interlinked weblogs to easy build a \"BETA version\" of an upcoming new A-10 website for free.

Project still need some finetuning.

Question to the forum staff: Would you change my username either to J.J. or JJ? That would be nice.

Greetings!
J.J.

Too late, I noticed...an FT tail with no tail caps or teeth and the tail number on the nose? When was that taken? When I was with the Flying Tigers, we always made sure or jets looked correct when they went on a photo shoot flight.

Or was it photo-shopped?

Either photo shoppery or the jet has just transferred in from another unit, looking at the nacelle its from a unit that has had markings on the pod.

Could have been a transfer, they got some jets last year from AK and I think CT as well.

Looks to me like 80-0189 (formerly AK): http://www.moody.af.mil/shared/media/ph ... 9G-733.JPG

Today, I further updated the Warthog Deployment section: http://warthogdeployments.blogspot.com

Yeah, 189 came from Eielson. A bunch of the jets we had there that are now at Moody still didn't have teeth when we deployed, it's not the only one. All the jets we brought here to Bagram have teeth though.

So Moody is going to have the \"FT\" base designator ? not the \"Old F-4E days \"MY\".

You are right, sgtgoose1! They transferred their FT tailcode from Pope AFB to Moody AFB.

Today, I further updated my post A-10 Units of Operation Iraqi Freedom - Part II Deployments to Prince Hassan Air Base (H5), Jordan.

http://warthogdeployments.blogspot.com/ ... if_31.html

Anybody from the Hog community who can (will) provide me some additional info? I would be very grateful for any first-hand support.

Currently, I prepare another factfile related to OIF A-10 deployments to Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait, Tallil Air Base, Iraq, and Kirkuk Regional Air Base, Iraq.

Many thanks for your kind words, Dutchy! I will do my best to document at least some of A-10 OEF and OIF deployment info for the history books.

Please also check my latest news update related to the 188th FW change of command ceremony.

Feel free to sent any comment to my blog posts...
